This kit supports and reinforces the factory upper shock mount. It will also capture and retain the shock stem bushing if a failure does occur. ICON recommends this upgrade on any 2024 Tacoma that gets driven vigorously off-road using the OE front coilover shocks.

The Top Plate Reinforcement is quick and easy to install, as there is no need to jack up the vehicle or even remove the tire. Simply remove the three coilover top mount nuts, install the Top Plate Reinforcement, and re-torque the nuts. The reinforcement plate is CNC machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum. It does not affect or limit the factory suspension performance in any way.
